MAPA and PAV Unite to Form the Mid-Atlantic Parking & Transportation Association
The Mid-Atlantic Parking Association (MAPA) and the Parking Association of the Virginias (PAV) are proud to announce the merger of the two associations to form the Mid-Atlantic Parking & Transportation Association. This union marks a historic milestone for both associations, as they seek to expand the opportunities to support its members throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as evolve with the industry as it expands its focus to transportation and mobility.
As the organization moves forward, it is dedicated to continuing to serve as a resource for industry professionals across all backgrounds and focuses including higher education, government, transit, healthcare, private operations, airports, and more. Moving forward, MAPTA’s goals include expanding its membership base, fostering collaboration across the region, enhancing membership benefits, advocating for innovative solutions, and strengthening its regional and national influence.
MAPA President Chuck Body stated, “This merger is an important step forward for both organizations as we seek to provide valuable education, networking opportunities, and advocacy for industry professionals across this extensive region.” PAV President Robert Fries echoed, “With the expanded focus of the industry to incorporate transportation and mobility into our efforts, this is the perfect opportunity for both organizations to come together more effectively to support our members and industry professionals, but to also serve as an important resource for this critical region of the country.”
Moving forward, MAPTA will continue to provide valuable educational, professional development, and networking opportunities for members and non-members alike. It will provide industry professionals with a platform to collaborate, share industry knowledge, and expand their careers. The first opportunity for this will be at the inaugural MAPTA Conference & Tradeshow, November 18-20 in Leesburg, VA. For more information, visit https://midatlanticparkingassociation.org/.
